Matt Receives GfFMUR Award funded by the Provost’s Office

Congratulations to Matt, whose summer research in the Qian Lab will be supported by Penn’s Grant for Faculty Mentoring Undergraduate Research (GfFMUR), a Provost-supported program administered through the Center for Undergraduate Research and Fellowships.

Through this support, Matt will pursue a summer research project focused on developing AI-based methods to integrate imaging morphology with spatial omics modalities for pathology analysis. His work will explore how computational approaches can connect tissue architecture, cellular organization, and molecular profiles to enable richer, spatially resolved analysis of human brain pathology.

We are excited to support Matt’s research this summer and look forward to seeing the new ideas and tools that emerge from his work. Way to go, Matt!
