Eleanor Receives Young Investigator Award from the ASXL Rare Research Endowment Foundation
Congratulations to Eleanor Mills, a PhD student in the lab, on receiving a Young Investigator Award from the ASXL Rare Research Endowment Foundation.
The award recognizes research Eleanor conducted as an undergraduate in the laboratory of Dr. Stephanie Bielas at the University of Michigan. Her work contributed to efforts to better understand ASXL-related rare disorders and was highlighted at the Foundation’s recent research symposium, which brought together scientists, clinicians, families, and patient advocates from the global ASXL community.
The ASXL Rare Research Endowment Foundation has played an important role in transforming a very small rare disease community into a connected global research network and supporting work aimed at improving biological understanding, diagnosis, and ultimately treatment.
